Music to listen to while watching the paint dry

Quotable Quotes about Watching Paint Dry
Buzz Lightyear says "Paint To Infinity... and Beyond!"
Hulk growls "Bah, Paint is SMASHING!" Brian the Painter insists "I never miss a spot!"
In May/2007, the inside of my house was painted, so I had a webcam provide
live coverage to the Internet ... and again two months later when the
outside of the house was painted. Lots of commentary and pictures
on the Paint Blog.
In 2006, Internet surfers could Watch Paint Dry in my basement crawl space via a D-Link DCS-6620G wireless webcam. X10 Powerline technology is used to control the various "zones" and allow you to turn them on and off in real-time. Yes, you (and anyone on the Internet) can toggle the rotating drying fan, make that Rainier Beer Sign light up ... or if you had too much to drink, turn it off. But you can't paint it white or black or any other color. Speaking of painting, the Antarctica Cruise Ship Ocean Nova might need a fresh coat job after running aground! ;-)
For the techies out there, the video feed is rebroadcast via a
100 Mbps web server (rather than a direct connection to my house),
so there is quite a bit of bandwidth available, especially since
I'm doing 3-second jpeg updates (typically about 50 KBytes) rather
than streaming video.
I.e. there is a lotta scalability, so this web site should be able
be able to sustain a significant number of visitors.
I also use the webcams seasonally for my
halloween decorations and
christmas lights ... and year-around to
watch grass grow!
